Coming soon to Hinds' Feet Farm in Huntersville: "Puddin's Place"
As a result of the overwhelming response and generosity of so many individuals, corporations and especially the Philip L. Van Every Foundation, we are pleased to announce that construction on our beautiful home, "Puddin's Place" will begin in late fall, early winter 2010! Named in honor of our visionary and founder, Carolyn "Puddin" Van Every Foil, Puddin's Place will be a state-of-the-art, 6-bed family care home for adults with traumatic or acquired brain injuries. This home is being designed for and will be staffed to handle the complex needs of individuals who need moderate to maximum assistance with their daily living needs (ADLs). Each resident will be encouraged to engage, interact and participate in the on-going activities of the Day Program. Each resident’s level of participation will be carefully designed to maximize their social interaction with and therapeutic benefit while at the same time being sensitive to their potentially higher level of assistance or special needs in daily living.
We are in the process of refining the specific admission criteria for Puddin's Place. Please continue to check this website for updates or contact Marty Foil, Executive Director, for the latest information. General Criteria:
There are currently three (3) projected vacancies in Puddin's Place. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list to be considered for potential residential placement, contact Marty Foil, Executive Director |
