format. Giving to Hinds’ Feet Farm Many generous and caring hearts are building Hinds’ Feet Farm. In the forms of individuals, corporations, foundations, service and civic groups, their collective generosity is ensuring a quality of life for brain-injured survivors. Your gifts for operating costs and capital projects are stewarded carefully to maximize their full benefit so that every dollar counts. And, every dollar does count. Here are ways you can help: Gifts of cash and checks are always accepted. Stock and appreciated securities are as good as cash to Hinds’ Feet Farm. The donor may claim a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock and also avoids capital gains tax. Electronic transfer is the safest and easiest way to give stock. Please ask your broker to contact Colleen Simonetti at Wachovia, 704-374-2168 or Marty Foil at 704-992-1424 to arrange a transfer. Please let us know to expect your gift! Corporate matching gifts can double or even triple your donation to Hinds’ Feet Farm. Ask your HR department at your company to see if this is an option for you. Memorials and honoring gifts are thoughtful ways to pay tribute to the life and work of a family member, friend, or mentor. So that we may notify the honoree or their family of the gift, please include their name(s) and address(es) with your check. Endowment Your future support is important, too. The following are examples of ways you can help build Hinds’ Feet Farm’s endowment. Bequests – When you include a provision for Hinds' Feet Farm in your will, it means that your support will continue to provide a home for brain injured survivors in the future. A bequest can be a specific amount, a percentage, or the amount that remains after other bequests have been honored. The best part is, a bequest costs nothing now and insures that you choose the disposition of your estate. IRAs and Retirement Assets – by naming Hinds’ Feet Farm as a beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account or qualified retirement plan, your estate may save both income and estate taxes. Insurance – Name Hinds’ Feet Farm as the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy whether the policy is fully paid up or payments still remain. Check with your insurance and/or tax advisor advisor for the tax implications of such gifts. For more information and assistance in making any of these gifts, please contact: Marty Foil at 704-992-1424. You can download a pledge/contribution form
